Bruce Tyler for Richmond City Council

Welcome to Bruce Tyler for City Council Online

map of first districtThank you for your interest in my campaign for city council. Since announcing my candidacy for Richmond’s First District, I’ve been walking door to door, talking with my fellow citizens about their concerns, their problems, their needs and their vision. Through all of my conversations, it became crystal clear that you want:

• A councilman who will help solve our city’s crime problem.

• An advocate who will fight for better schools.

• A community supporter who will help stem the tide of rising assessments, forcing families from the city.

A lifelong Richmond resident, I have married, worked and raised two children here so I understand both the opportunities and the challenges our city faces and I have a plan to help our city move from good to great.

bruce tyler on siteAn architect, businessman, and community leader, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in important projects that have helped revitalize our city – from major downtown development projects to projects on the VCU Medical Center Campus and the Virginia BioTechnology Park. I believe my experience in business, civic and community organizations will enable me to work effectively with members of city council, the mayor, and other local civic, community and business leaders to create a clear vision for Richmond, grounded in safer neighborhoods, affordable housing and great schools.

As I fight on the campaign trail to bring progressive leadership and real solutions to the citizens of the First District, I hope you will join me. Please take some time to explore the website. Look at the issues I will be bringing to the table and see how my campaign is progressing.

If you would like to volunteer to help with the campaign, make a comment about the campaign or make a contribution, please call 804-288-1811. We look forward to talking to you.

Thank you again for your interest. I’ll see you on the campaign trail.
